Turn Around, God is Still Waiting
By: Troy Burns
To conclude our series through 1&2 Peter, Troy explains that while God’s promise to send Jesus back to the earth seems to be delayed, it will not fail. We should not see the apparent delay as proof that Jesus will not return, but rather as evidence of God’s desire for all people to have an opportunity for repentance, salvation, and eternal life in heaven.

Jul 10, 2022Yes, You’re Free; No, You’re Not in ChargeBy: Troy BurnsCovering some verses in 2 Peter chapter 2, Troy reminds us that God wants us to communicate clearly what happens after we die, but not as if we enjoy it. God wants us to be saved; He doesn’t want to punish us and He doesn’t enjoy watching us face the consequences of our poor decisions. As our friend, the preacher Arron Chambers has said it so many times, what God does want is for us “to go to heaven and take as many people with us as possible.”

Troy also digs in to Peter's teaching that each of us should use whatever gift we have received to serve others. God gave us our unique background, personality, natural abilities, and spiritual gifts in order for us to serve Him and serve others.

Apr 10, 2022They Say the Darkest Hour is Just Before DawnBy: Troy BurnsSeries: StandaloneIn this pre-Easter message, Troy reminds us that when life seems to be at its worst, and things are utterly hopeless and dark, there is still hope and there is still light up ahead. In the supreme example, the apparent defeat of Jesus on Friday was a dark time indeed, but God knew that Sunday was coming and that the supposed defeat would turn into the biggest comeback victory of all time.

Mar 20, 2022Dying Young at an Old AgeBy: Troy BurnsSeries: Win the DayAs the author of Win the Day writes, "a right relationship with time means recognizing that time is measured in minutes, but life is measured in moments." With that in mind, we want to make the most of every opportunity, to make time stand still, and to recognize every moment for what it is: a gift from God.
