To follow up our Children's Christmas program, Troy presents a short message on the "kids" aspect of the holiday, and how the types of gifts requested by children are different from the "grown-up" wish lists of adults. Ultimately, we celebrate the birthday of Jesus and we remember that He is the most important gift we can ever receive.

Have you ever gone to God in fervent prayer, perhaps when one of your loved ones faced a potentially life-threatening or life-altering situation? Did you beg and plead with God for healing because you were so worried and scared? That's a natural response, but as we see in John chapter 17, Jesus knew for a fact that He was approaching the time of His death, yet He did not ask God to rescue Him and spare Him from death. Instead, He focused on God's mission and He prayed for other people much more than Himself.

As we discover from the story of Jesus healing a man who was born blind in John chapter 9, you cannot argue with the genuine, significant change that God produces in peoples’ lives. It’s like going from blindness to sight, and it’s no less miraculous.

Continuing in our series through the Gospel of John, Troy shares the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000, while reminding us that God is able to take what we offer, however small it seems, and do something miraculous with it. Nothing we face here on this earth is too big for God.
