As our Youth Minister, Chad, shares with us, we live in a time of great darkness, but Jesus is the light of the world and not only can He see in the dark, but He also calls us to share His light and let it shine so that every person might come to know God and follow His path.

Continuing in our series through the book of Hebrews, Chad talks about our actions and how they should match our beliefs. If our actions do not match what we believe, how does that look to the outside world? If we believe Heaven is real and we know that hell is real, too, do we live that in that truth and love people as though Heaven and hell are real?

What are you holding onto in your life? Your money and possessions? Past mistakes and bad habits that have caused you sin and shame? Longstanding traditions that are good, but could potentially lead to a fear of any change? What's keeping you from living as a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ? Jesus died for us and He gives us the power to let go of what we're holding onto and leave those sins, habits, and mistakes behind us.

As part of the Finding Favor series, our Youth Minister Chad talks about discovering God's favor in spite of (and sometimes even through) "Bodily Affliction."  Throughout the Bible there are many stories of strife and pain, and this earth is filled with them as well.  To illustrate, Chad shares a few stories of people finding God's favor in the midst of very difficult times, while remembering that God's version of better is always better.
