In this week's message from our Gospel of Mark series, Troy reminds us that we are never alone because God is always there; He works in our lives and through our lives. He uses His people to help each other and to do His work on earth.

To kick off our new series through the Gospel of Mark, Troy focuses our hearts on the fact that Jesus can empathize with our weaknesses. He understands our struggles because He lived through them Himself. He is not just someone with the compassion of a person who notices suffering from the outside. Instead, He is someone who entered into our suffering and made it His own.

With summer ending and school beginning, it feels like a new year, so Troy addresses the changes we might want to make to become healthier versions of ourselves. Most of us want our words and our actions to match what we say we believe. And given how important our witness is to a world that’s watching, Troy encourages each one of us to evaluate ourselves and take a positive step forward when it comes to putting our faith into action.
