Continuing in our "Follow Me" series, Troy challenges each of us to ask ourselves, "Am I an active, accountable member of a local church?" This question is not, "Is my name on a church roll somewhere?" or "Do I attend church somewhere?" The question is, "Am I committed to a local church where I am sharing life with other followers of Christ in mutual accountability under biblical leadership for the glory of God?"

It is good to be able to become nostalgic about childhood for just a moment. It may be the pressure of work or some other responsibility that is weighing heavily upon us, and for just a fleeting moment, perhaps, we remember it the way it was: the joy and freedom of flying kites and chasing butterflies. But then Bob reminds us that Jesus said unless you become like a child you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

God designed us to have a love relationship with Him and we should grow to the point that we can say we love Him with all our being. Because God has loved you, He wants you to love Him as well. As we worship, pray, fast, and give, we fuel affection for God.

Troy kicks off our new "Follow Me" series by discussing the "Great Invitation" we receive when Jesus says those two simple words to us. If we truly accept this invitation, it changes everything. We die to ourselves and have a genuine purpose and joy that comes only when we surrender our lives to the God of the universe in the flesh.
